Christmas Habits

Do we have Christmas habits?  I think some people call them traditions.  All I know is I've gone through a box of cocoa mix in about a week, and I think my T.V. is locked on Hallmark & LMN.  Christmas movies, Christmas movies, Christmas movies.  Don't forget the fuzzy black blanket & the house socks!  My husband especially loves the fuchsia ones with the black grid dots on the bottom. It seems that I've allowed myself to eat & drink things that are high in calories (these are a necessity to keep me warm from the frigid temperatures, even though I am inside in a constant 72 degree zone). I have stayed in front of the television to watch every Christmas movie I can get my hands on.  I can't seem to get enough of the movies where the Mom wakes up in the life she had in her twenties, or the life she'd of had if she hadn't got married, or better yet the life she'd of had if she had married the "other guy".  We know how it's going to end way before we get there.  She ends up missing her kids, her messy house & has finally realized she can't live without her "not so perfect" husband. She begs, Santa, an angel, her fairy god-mother, whoever, to get her back home.  I know I'm an old romantic sap, so I don't mind admitting that I do go away with something from these movies.  I appreciate my Husband, my crazy kids, and you know, my house wouldn't be messy if I would clean it up! God gives us all a free will, we can make our own choices, sometimes not so good ones.  Even when you get off the path he had planned for you, if you turn to him, he will bless you on the one you're on & set you back straight.  You might not always end up where he intended, but you'll still be blessed beyond belief.  So drink cocoa in moderation, (I want even mention egg nogg ohh the calories!), enjoy all the Christmas movies you can stand, cuddle up in your favorite blanket & enjoy the season.  Happy Birthday Jesus!!!
